The old “this tool’s cool. try it� type posts really didn’t do much for me.
With this latest post though you’ve gone too far – now you’re dictating to me instead of recommending a tool! “I use Firefox. If you do not – you should.â€? Actually I’ve tried it and prefer something else. I use Maxthon. It does everything Firefox does and more. It’s cleaner and I have no problems displaying any web page designed for IE compatibility (the vast majority, this blog excluded ).
Since I’m a savvy user and know how to secure my system I have no worries about the flaws in the IE engine and therefore consider it a risk worth taking. Obviously, I’m not 100% secure. None of us are. All any of us are doing is making the best compromise between functionality, usability and security. You think Firefox is the best for that compromise whilst running it on an inherently flawed foundation (Windows). I disagree.
