Laptops and IP addressess
Road warriors know what a pain it is to have to move there laptop from network to network. Especially when that means manually setting up IP addresses and other settings. What is worse is that when you get back to your own network nothing works because all the settings are wrong – They are set for the previous network.
NetSetMan – The Network Settings Manager is one answer. NetSetMan is a free utility that allows you to set IP information, DNS server, Workgroup and other configuration details with 2 clicks. You can set profiles and switch between them easily.

NetSetMan can also be useful for gamers attending a LAN party,. You can mantain your home settings and setup the LAN party settings as another profile.
You can accomplish a lot of the same functionality by writing batch scripts using the netsh command. This option is relativly comlex and not as user friendly as NetSetMan.
You can download NetSetMan from http://www.netsetman.com/

What advantage does this have over the thinkpad NetConnections stuff? Other than being free, and working with any laptop.
Also, does it integrate WiFi with it, or would you just use the Windows WiFi management of SSID, etc…

This is free and does work with any laptop. It can manage wireless connections as well. I am not sure how well it handles WEP/WAP. Also it is much less bloated than the IBM package.
