Foxit Reader
Using Adobe Acrobat Reader to read PDFs is painful. It is slow and a huge system drain. It also is constantly trying to update a newer and slower version. Foxit Reader is a free alternative for PDF viewing on Windows.
Foxit Reader also has additional software that will let you edit and create PDFs. The professional software is not free but is reasonably priced.
You can download Foxit Reader from http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/rd_intro.php

There is one drawback for those of us who have Hebrew file names: Foxit cannot recognise them.

That is odd. I tried opening files on my system and it works fine. You might need to check your Regional and Language options to ensure that you are using Hebrew as your language for non Unicode programs.

I installed Foxit 3.0 and find that it does support Hebrew file names. Now I am a happy camper—I can use Foxit instead of the bloated A—e Reader.

When I add a bookmark to foxit it will not save under a hebrew file name. Any suggestions?
