I hate renaming files in windows. After shooting 200 pictures on vacation with my family I end up with a folder that has 200 files names IMG_0103.jpg. What I want to do is a rename so something a little more meaningful – Something like Vacation_to_India_2008_Pic_0103.jpg. Doing this in Windows can be a pain. Renamer is a free tool that solves this issue. Renamer allows to change case, modify names, and remove or replace strings in file names.

You purchase the 500 GB 1 Terabyte drive for your computer figuring you could never fill it up. That much space should last a long long time. I hate copying files on a Windows system. The system will start coping a file and if I want to copy another file while the first one is going it does so in parallel slowing down the whole process. If a copy process encounters an error – forget it. The whole copy process dies and you have lost the queue and have no idea where you were up to.
